CreatorSherpa (“we,” “us”) is a free tool-comparison and recommendation site. This page explains, plainly, what we collect and why. The short version: we don’t ask you to create an account, we don’t set cookies for visitors, and we don’t collect your name or email unless you send it to us directly (for example, by email).
Wizard answers. When you use the “Build my stack” wizard, we store your budget, the platforms you selected, and your team size, along with which tools we recommended. This is never linked to your name, email, or any other identifying information — we don’t know who you are, only what you answered.
Click data. When you click a “Get [tool]” link, we log which tool, which page you clicked it from, and the referring page. Your IP address is hashed before storage — we keep a one-way fingerprint useful for detecting abuse (like bot traffic inflating click counts), not your actual IP address.
No cookies for visitors. The public site sets no cookies. (Our admin panel, used only by the site operator, uses one cookie to stay logged in — that’s unrelated to your visit.)
No accounts. There’s no sign-up, no login, no email collection anywhere on the public site.
Some “Get [tool]” links are affiliate links. If you sign up through one, we may earn a commission — this never changes the price you pay. Once you click through, you’re on that tool’s own site, governed by their own privacy policy, not ours.
Our database is hosted by Neon (Postgres) and our site is hosted by Vercel, both of which process data on our behalf to run the service. Neither uses it for their own purposes.
Wizard answers and click data are kept indefinitely in aggregate form, to understand which recommendations work well and to keep pricing information accurate. Since none of it identifies you personally, there’s no individual record to delete on request — but if you have a specific concern, contact us and we’ll look into it.
CreatorSherpa isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect data from them.
